How can you know if your child is ready for Kindergarten? First of all, if you’re really concerned, contact a current Kindergarten teacher to find out the prerequisites for their program. For instance, can your child count to 100 w/o many mistakes and prompting? Do they know all the letters of our English alphabet, both upper and lower case, and can they read simple 3-4 letter words? Can they write their first name? Do they hold a pencil correctly?
