Have you observed that Autistic people simply don’t know how to acceptably respond to social questions such as “how are you?” Why don’t they know what to do? Like other children, they simply don’t understand our “gray” areas of feelings and social situations. Many of these children simply don’t interact at all and maybe even stand against a wall.
