We Were Meant to be Teachers!

Classroom Management Strategies and other Teacher Worthy Ideas

5 Personal Narratives BANNED From Middle School

If you’re a teacher who requires children to write paragraph narratives and stories, you’ve all read about their animals or their families.  Right?  Then again, we can always use topics supplied by Common Core or private companies!  Some of these ideas are good and should be used.

Bill Flanagan on the site, weareteachers.com, posts about 5 topics BANNED in his classroom.  Hold you thoughts until you read his article. Narratives never to be included are about their pets, boo-boos, video games and theme parks!  My last groups of elementary children had never been to Disney or Sea World and they lived in Florida.  But they all had boo-boos and/or pets!

The post is short and his ideas are supported and obvious.  Please read and think about his ideas.
