Day Care Note to Leave Your Cell Phones Somewhere Else

I used to be the Director of a Day Care Center (before cellphones).  I loved the way our little ones ran to their parents when they were being picked up each evening.  Apparently, that doesn’t happen too much any longer.

It seems that most parents are coming to the Day Care doors while actively talking using their cellphones under their chins and the parents aren’t even paying attention to their little children who just want hugs.  Day Care workers in a local Texas city have decided that “they’ve had enough!”

They’ve taped a sign on their door asking parents to PLEASE put away their phones and just love and greet their wonderful children.  The word PLEASE was added after this photo was taken.

Frankly, I don’t have a problem with this request.  Children are a blessing and a huge responsibility.

What do you think?
