Have you ever considered that the food diet of Autistic people should probably be different than that from fast food restaurants? I know of a mother who is quite selective which food she feeds her son because the difference in his behavior is dramatically changed when she controls what he eats!
Exposing an Autistic child to large crowds with lots of noise can absolutely “set him/her off.”
Decreasing demands into short lists and frequent “quiet” activities is also a necessary strategy when you’re working with an Autistic student.
