Assertiveness Training for Children

Is #bullying becoming an increasing problem in our neighborhoods and schools? Apparently so, because this is the second article I’ve received today that I want to share with my followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin.

#Leah Davies (Kelly Bear) again hits the nail on the head when talking about ways to train children to be Assertive to protect themselves WITHOUT being the Aggressor or completely Submissive. There is a difference and your child’s personality can be trained to be the Assertive person in an appropriate manner.

These skills don’t come naturally and need to be taught in families. first and foremost. Unfortunately, I’ve even seen parents be the Aggressor while walking around in local stores. Verbally bulling their children – not disciplined correction – verbally bulling!

How can educators help children learn these skills? Here are some ideas:
