“I Cannot Be Both a Good Mother and a Good Teacher”

I just saw this blog mentioned by one of my friends on FB. It so wonderfully shares the torment that we teachers feel if we still have young children that we have to leave home or at day care. The guilt and stress cannot be measured!

It’s a problem that we all go through. Me? I had been blessed to be able to stay home and not full time teach while my children were young. I kept my talent current by becoming a substitute teacher instead. That way, I could refuse teaching opportunities when my children were sick.
