We Were Meant to be Teachers!

Classroom Management Strategies and other Teacher Worthy Ideas

The First Days of School are about Connections

What are the most important activities that you should do on the first few days of school?

Here’s a site that provides some wonderful ideas.  Some activities are similar to Kagan suggestions, of course.  But, all relate to the goal that your new students should begin to become a “team” of individuals who are there to learn and respect each other and follow agreed upon protocols and acceptable behavior norms.

Please read the following blog by Jackie Gerstein, Ph.D,. and see what you can adapt to your class age level.  I promise these ideas will work.

Don’t forget to share these ideas with your teammates at your school.

Please let me know what you think.
