10 Things Teachers Wish Parents Knew Before the School Year Begins

Happy parents make happy teachers?  Well, most of the time.

The TODAY show asked educators what they wished parents knew about what teachers do and how all-consuming a teacher’s job is. Included are ideas about how to give new teachers a chance, it’s okay for students to fail, especially middle school, stay involved even when your child is in high school, and a child’s homework assignment is their responsibility to complete, NOT the parent’s.
